3M™ LifeASSURE PNA Series Filters are suitable for in process applications where only a bio-burden reduction claim is required
Features a hydrophilic asymmetric polyethersulfone membrane that ensures easy wet-out and has low protein binding
Made with Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) design that allows maximum fluid and contaminant access to filter surface area for highest throughput
The 3M™ LifeASSURE™ PNA Series Filter Cartridge offers robust 0.20 and 0.45 micron absolute-rated filtration by combining three leading-edge processes – hydrophilic asymmetric polyethersulfone membrane construction, Advanced Pleating Technology and an upstream/downstream support design. This series is ideally suited for bio-burden applications.
Robust Design The 3M™ LifeASSURE™ PNA Series Filter Cartridge offers robust 0.20 and 0.45 micron absolute-rated filtration by combining three leading-edge processes – hydrophilic asymmetric polyethersulfone membrane construction, Advanced Pleating Technology and an upstream/downstream support design. This series is ideally suited for bio-burden applications in the pharmaceutical, biological, and bioprocess industries where full sterilizing grade claim is not required.
Highly Asymmetric Membrane A novel single layer PES membrane with a high degree of asymmetric pore structure is integrated into the 3M LifeASSURE PNA Series filters. These filter membranes contain larger pores on the upstream surface that gradually taper to smaller pores towards the downstream surface, providing greater contaminant capacity, since it presents greater open spaces (void volume) in which to retain these contaminants. This 3-D filter architecture leads to longer service life, fewer change outs and lower filtration costs. In addition, the asymmetric structure provides less resistance to flow, resulting in a lower pressure drop and allowing you to employ fewer 3M LifeASSURE PNA series filters for any given flow rate.
Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) 3M LifeASSURE™ PNA Series filters also feature innovative Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) design for extended service life. This design technology maximizes the useful surface area while maintaining open flow paths between media pleats. This APT design provides lower pressure drops, longer service life and lower overall filtration costs.
